A Lifestyle Blog With An African Twist

Purple Headswrap, Cream Top and Floral Skirt

The other day we were at the beach when all of a sudden the hubs carried me off my feet and started running in slow motion singing a love song in some sort of Indian language, the sea breeze felt so cool on my skin.  He ran up to a tree and under the tree was the most gorgeous picnic basket I have ever seen in my life and the picnic lunch as amazing.  I was just about to drink my cool glass of coconut water when I woke up. Ehn???  Is this the time to wake up?  So the sea breeze happened to be the air-conditioner that I forgot to turn off before going to bed and what I thought was an Indian love song was actually the hub's radio which he had forgotten to switch off.   So I was awake lying there, realizing it was only a dream but I wasn't going to miss out on the ending of that dream.   I had to finish this dream, I must finish it.  What would he have done for me after the picnic?  I was still thinking about it when I fell asleep again in the hope of continuing the dream.  It's been over a week and I have not been able to go back and pick up my glass of coconut water.   Sometimes we are focused on the dream and forget to look at the reality of our situation.  One man's reality is another man's dream but that is what makes the world an interesting place.   Oh I am going off gossip magazines and reality television shows for a while because I am sure what I saw in my dream must be something I saw from the bachelor or read in a gossip magazine.

Today's outfit I wore to church last Sunday.  My regular visitors would recognize most of the pieces in this outfit however the sandals are new.  I got them because I was looking for something comfortable to wear to work and this one is so light I feel like I am floating when walking in them.  It should be called a hover sandal or the glider (just saying).  The head wrap is a sarong I got from my sister a few years back (talk about finding multiple uses for an item).

Well, that's all for this week lovely people.  Hope you have a great week and see you at your blog space.

Girl you are too funny!I am glad we have the bachelor in common. There's nothing more relaxing than seeing 25 women crying over one man they have just met. About your dream, I hope the hubs is reading this post. What a beautiful lipstick you are wearing! I love how simple you kept the outfit. Big hugs!

  9. Oh my what a dream.Sometimes I think dreams are thought process of how we think how life should be. I know your husband is a great man and does special things in his own way and not what you may have fancied from what you see on TV... I agree stop watching those unreal shows haha... Gosh love the colour of the lippy and everything work in this look.

  14. Was about to say aww your husband is so sweet until I read that it was all a dream. Love how you related it to a moral lesson. Now onto your outfit, I love how the purple turban adds a pop of colour to your outfit and compliments the skirt.
