A Lifestyle Blog With An African Twist

Multicolored and My First World Problem.

Hello and welcome to The Cooking Wardrobe.  Hope you are all winning with whatever plans you had and are also doing great.  Firstly, thanks for all your lovely comments on last weeks post, I really appreciate the love and support you guys show me every week.  So beautiful Tatiana M of Hekyma.com asked what my height was (which I should have stated last week, since I wrote about it. DUH). Anyways, I am 5 feet 10 inches or 1.7 meters tall.

I put this outfit together and was quite happy with the results up until it was time to choose which shoe to wear. This first world problem is getting to me o chai, seriously consumerism is not good. In fact it creates big time problems ehn, look at me, owner of a few $10 shoes complaining gosh I feel sorry for the celebrities, they must live in hell.  Anywho, so I eventually went with the red loafers but I thought it looked oh so fashionable with the silver heels so I had to get a photo in that one too.

So we went for the shoot and I was totally in the pouting mood, you know the one where you do the dull eyes and push the lips out to look posh? Eheeeem, that's the one.  Well I can tell you its not for everyone.  Hubby kept saying "the pose is okay but if you don't like the look of your face in the photo, I will not be held responsible".  How interesting that he would do a verbal disclaimer even before taking the photo.  I totally married a wise man.

Thanks for visiting and reading.  Let me know what you think in the comments box.  Have a lovely week and HAPPY EASTER IN ADVANCE.

  1. The outfit looks fabulous with both pairs of shoes, and it's interesting that changing the shoes changes the total look.

  2. can´t say how much ich love this outfit!!! with both shoes! and speaking of - i would take the silver and the red ones if i found them in a shop. you have a gorgeous taste - in shoes especially.
and on the other side - how many people do not have any shoes to wear and only one set of clothes..... we all should recall this from time to time - and should do our little contribution to change the world into a better place.

  4. Is that the pouting look? It looks great to me. You have such a joyful face though I don't think you know how to make it look miserable. I love both pairs of shoes though if I were choosing for my own feet comfort always wins. The silver ones are sitting pretty shoes. LOL Have a great week, Elsie! xoxo

  10. Hi Elsie, how are you?
Thanks for your comment on my last post, the Yellagonga Regional Park is really big but the litle corner we went to is about 20-30 minutes drive from the CBD (between Woodvale and Pearsall).
Your outfit is lovely, so colourful and perfect for the bright sunshine in the pictures! The silver heels do look very stylish, however I love how the bloodred shoes pop, suvh eyecatchers!
Wishing you a good week! :)

  19. Don't even get me started on the shoes wahala, sister. I've over 20 shoes and still don't know what to wear sometimes. I think its a ladies problem. Lol!! Having said that, both shoes compliments this outfit so well. -Ofcos the silver pumps takes the outfit to a dress up level. I'm coming for that top. :)
    Gorgeous!! Happy Easter..

  20. Such a wonderful bright outfit, perfect with either shoe , red for comfort and walking anywhere, the silver shoes for looks as long as the car is closeby. I laughed at your husband comments, sounds so familiar. He does a great job but he has a gorgeous subject to work with. I hope you are enjoying your Easter, Elsie.

  25. What a gorgeous outfit, lovely colours and fantastic pattern! I think both shoes work very well with the outfit although I do have a soft spot for anything shiny and metallic :-) Looking forward to have a closer look at your blog!
