You see, breakfast happened, and the two of them prepared it and it was also very tasty but I didn't have it in bed. I blame stupid routine which got me out of bed as usual at 5 am. I was in the study doing my thing and by the time I remembered, I should be in bed pretending to be asleep while the boys cooked, they were already up cooking.
You should have seen Eight trying to hide the mothers day card when I walked into the kitchen. Oh my gosh, his hands were flying all over the place, his worried face trying to smile as he tucked the card under his pyjama top, and walked slowly backwards to the lounge room and sat down on the sofa as if that was what he was about to do anyway. Now being the "good" mum that I always am, ahem, I also walked into the lounge room and sat next to him as if I had not noticed anything. After all no mother would want to spoil a poor little boy's surprise, especially on mothers day.
So the card eventually came out of its hiding place, as The Hubs came over with a plate of what they called "omelette in wrap". Now Twenty-Two is jealous because he thinks Eight and The Hubs are trying to upstage him.
The day turned out great. We attended a friends church where the whole service was done by the women in the church. Beautiful sermon on the characteristic of a virtuous woman. I must say I was truly blessed and I want to pass it on to all the beautiful mothers in the world.
