Ginger Beer - Sierra Leonean Recipe

Nothing beats a nice cool refreshing, guilty free drink on a hot day.  This ginger beer recipe ticks all said boxes and as usual, if it's coming from my kitchen it is definitely easy and quick to prepare.   In Sierra Leone, ginger beer is served at most parties with rice bread as a light refreshment while guests wait for the main event to start.
I used. 500gms fresh ginger, 2 limes, 1 lemon, cloves, 1 cup sugar and 8 cups of water
scrape the skin off the ginger, chop into pieces, then blend with 5 cloves
 empty into a large bowl
 add 8 of cups water
then the juice of the lemon and lime
set aside to settle for an hour
then gently strain through a sieve
sweeten to taste ( 1 used 1 cup sugar)
 serve with ice cubes.  enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by and reading.  Feel free to share this recipe and if you try it let me know if you enjoyed it.  xo.
