A Lifestyle Blog With An African Twist

Pink and Blue Ankara Dress

Happy New Year TCW readers!  Welcome 2018!  Your older brother 2017 was good so I hope you will continue the family tradition and be great! My plan for 2018 is to stay focused and appreciate the little and simple things in life.  Sounds simple right, but it's easier said than done.

If you have been reading my blog for a while you would know that I took up sewing as a hobby and I am loving it.  I made this pink ankara dress using simplicity pattern 1011.  For someone who three months ago could not sew straight even if my life depended on it to reading patterns and sewing without any help, I am very happy with my progress and as you can see I did pretty well with the dress. I pick up things really quickly however there are some things that I just can't get my head around like maths which is still frustrating the hell out of me.  What drives you nuts?  I teamed this dress with my trusty old sandals from wittner.  You like??

Thanks for reading, stay blessed and see you soon at your blog space!
