A Lifestyle Blog With An African Twist

Inspiration

Hello everyone, hope you are having a good week so far.

Is it just me or does everyone have a particular favorite item of clothing that they just can't get rid of?  The top I am wearing in this post is one such item.  I bought it in Ghana about thirteen years ago and I just love the colors in the fabric.  I have put on weight a few times since so much so that there was a time when I couldn't even pull it over my shoulders but it survived. Let's say I have used it a few times as my inspiration to lose the extra kilos.

Have you got such an item? Tell me all about it in the comments box.  Thanks for visiting and reading my blog.  Follow on for more if you like what I have to offer.

  3. You look radiant in royal blue. Love the kente head wrap! I have a dress that I refuse to part with regardless of my weight. It's a silver Michael Kors and I absolutely adore it. It has become my gauge, whenever it begins to feel too tight, I know it's time to watch my diet.

  4. Beautiful print! I do have an item like that...my 20 year old cotton Eddie Bauer blue and white striped skirt. It has these huge patch pockets on the side and I even blogged about it recently. Here's to bigger closets to hold on to those treasures! Debbie @ ilovemylemonadelife.com

  5. Love, love this outfit on you and the colors in the top are vibrant. I have never seen those textured pants at F21 and they are also a vibrant color and a must have. You just have to keep those items 'cause they will be hard to replace!

  10. I really love the vivid colours of your shirt and headscarf, perfectly matching with white and royal blue. I have a pair of ballerinas I wear over an over, which make me wonder how much I could have saved on shoes I never ever wear!
