A Lifestyle Blog With An African Twist

Dusty Rose Dress

Hello and welcome to The Cooking Wardrobe.  If you have been following or reading my blog, you may have noticed that I choose comfortable outfits that make me feel good.  This dress is no exception.  When I bought it about two years ago, I was with my sister and being the fashionista that she is, she didn't like it at all.  In fact she was so disappointed that I bought it, she asked me to make sure that I didn't wear it when she was around. (Talk about someone being bossy hmmm).  Anyway I wore it the other day and passed by her house and guess who loved the dress?  (hmm hmm, yep, its her, my sister. Talk about someone having a change of mind).

The moral of this story is to always be yourself, because you are the only person good enough or bad enough to be you.  Walk through the crowd, drown the noise, lift your head high and just be you.

Thank you for visiting and reading my blog.  Your time and effort is appreciated.  Leave a comment, I love reading them. xo.

  11. Does your sister want it back now? Often times people can't understand a look until they see how it translates on someone else. I like how you anchored this delicate piece with a sturdy shoe. It makes a confident statement.

  16. I always dress according to MY mood and taste, dear Elsie...isn't that supposed to be the whole point of personal style?! You've paired this ruffle-front dress perfectly with those white, peep-toe shoes; it's a ladylike, slightly edgy combination...and I'm not surprised at all that it won your sister over in the end!! ;)
