A Lifestyle Blog With An African Twist

Famous Shoes

Hello and welcome to The Cooking Wardrobe. The title of today's post caught your attention didn't it?  Well seven and I had a conversation the other day while I was putting these sandals on and the conversation is as follows:

Seven: OOOOOOOO Mama, you've goooot the famous shoes

Me: I don't think they are famous, why do you think they are?

Seven: You know, on TV, that woman who does the advert for scholl? These look like the shoes she wore after she had cleaned her feet with that scholl scrubbing thingy.

Me: Really. that doesn't mean they are famous.

Seven: Mama, everything on TV is famous.

I rest my case guys, according to seven, we all own famous items.  You know that frying pan that we've all bought because if you buy it now, you get the second one free?  What about that vacuum that does all sorts of wonders in the house?
After our "famous"conversation, I thought I might as well take a photo of the outfit as we were going out to visit friends. I chose the colorful necklace and sandals because cream can be a bit boring on its own and a little pop of color make a big difference.
Outfit Details:
Top: Bardot
Pants: Just Jeans
Sandals: Florsheim
Necklace and Earrings: Bought in Ghana
While strutting my stuff below the sprinklers in the park came on and we had to leave.  How cute is the swan swimming in the background.
Thank you for visiting and reading.  Leave a comment, I love reading them.

  6. See? Here's just one of the many styling ideas that you rock better than anyone else. You got JUST the right amount of color going here. I'd have overdone it, for sure. As in cooking, it's the right proportions that make a recipe special!
Your adorable little charmer is quite right ... the shoes are famous! And so are you.

  7. I'm such a fan of neutrals, dear Elsie, that I don't think I'll ever find them "boring"...but you are very right when you say a pop of colour makes the whole outfit that much more interesting. Your bubble-bead necklace and the earrings are so fun!! And as for those "famous" shoes?? They totally deserve their time in the spotlight!! ;)
