A Lifestyle Blog With An African Twist

Purple Floral Dress

Hello TCW readers!  How are you all doing? Hope you are winning at whatever you've put your mind to.  Guys let's take a minute and talk about how stressful life has become in this twenty first century. Even trying to live a simple life is stressful because before you know it, you have accumulated more junk than what you threw away a few months ago. I cannot tell you how many times I have gone to the shops for grocery only to buy that cute pot that I know exactly what I am going to cook in it, only for it to end up in the store keeping company with the other cute pots that I have never used.

If you have been stopping by ever so often here you'd know that I took up sewing as a hobby and I must say I am still loving it. In fact today's dress is one of my creations made using McCall's pattern M6028.  I found this pattern a bit difficult to sew but the challenge was worth it in the end.  The only visible mistake is how I failed to match the flowers at the back of the dress when I was cutting it out.

I have styled it with my necklace from Saba and sandals from Wittner.   Do you like it?  Let's have a chat in the comments box below.

Thank you so much for reading.  Don't forget to let me know you were here in the comments box so I can return your visit.  Take care and see you at you blog space.
